Middle School Art

In Middle School Fine Arts students express ideas through original artworks using a variety of media with appropriate skill grade level. They will explore the creation of art through Historical and Cultural significances- reflective of lessons and contexts. They will be required to create artwork based on direct observation, imagination, and personal experience. Before advancing to the High School level, students will be versed in beginning analysis of peer artwork via instructor supervision, using critical attributions.

Students in Middle School currently visit the High School Building, using the High School Art Room twice a week. This submersion into a studio class and environment enables the students to blossom in a nurturing atmosphere; surrounded by easels, paint, other students’ artwork, kinetic hanging artwork, a student gallery, and other inspiration stimuli.
