High School Film

The Urban Film School introduces students to the various categories of film production from documentaries and commercials to movies, including film analysis. Students are trained in script writing in collaboration with the English department and actively participate in indoor and outdoor film shootings; learning everything necessary to transition into the film industry or College. A vast array of Apple computers and software allow for sophisticated editing of film material; enhancing film productions in collaboration with the music/sound production departments. All this encourages the individual student to write a script, prepare for shootings, perform the actual shooting as actor/director, edit the product, and add sound to the final product.
